My interest for Photography first appealed to me in 2001 and I immediately started to search for Photography courses. It was also at that time that I started working in a Portrait Photography Studio, along with Brian Ollier and his team who taught me the basis of Photography as well as Printing, Mounting and Framing, as well as the importance of customer service.
In 2002, I moved from my hometown of Macclesfield, Cheshire, to Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, in order to follow my drive and passion to become a professional Photographer and completed a National Diploma in Photography. These 2 years were very rewarding as I experimented with 35mm, medium and large format cameras, and printing on various materials (paper, canvas, plastic, silk).
I went on to study Contemporary Photographic Arts at Batley School of Art & Design, Huddersfield University.
As my passion and technique grew, along with my Art Direction skills, I realised I was not necessarily willing to specialise in only one Photography style or genre, although capturing real life situation and people gives me the most enjoyment. Landscapes and Wildlife Photography come in a close second, bringing both tranquility and energy to myself and my images.
Within this time I had the opportunity to travel to Prague, New York, Kenya, the Bahamas and Paris and these amazing experiences gave me an appetite to see more and appreciate, explore and capture different cultures and traditions.
